"Boo" is a Season 1 episode of Clifford the Big Red Dog. This episode is the one shown after the episode "Come Back Mac" and "Speckle And The Pirate Ship". This is also the first and only Halloween themed episode of Clifford the Big Red Dog. It aired on September 11, 2000.

Summary

Jetta Handover cannot stop bragging about her bravery, but she soon learns that being scared IS okay after all.

It's Halloween on on Birdwell Island, & everybody is dressed up, excited to watch the movie that night. Jenna says nothing scares her and Mac, but when he investigates the big white screen in his attempt to see how the characters got in, Clifford gets tangled up in the white sheet, running around like a ghost. Soon, everyone hears spooky noises, and gets scared. Is there really a Ghost Dog of Birdwell Island?

Plot

The episode starts with a view of the neighborhood decorated for Halloween. We hear Emily Elizabeth as we soon see Clifford's Dog house. We then see Emily Elizabeth helping Clifford with his costume as she tells him she doesn't want to be late for the Halloween movie. Emily puts some strands of big paper on a paper band around Clifford's head, and says he looks just like a lion. Emily's parents then come out of the house dressed as seashells, and tell Emily and Clifford to hurry so they aren't late for the Halloween movie. Clifford then comes running out of his dog house, dressed as a lion, and both of Emily's parents pretend to act scared, going back into the house. Clifford is concerned, but Emily reassures him her parents are pretending to be scared. Clifford whines, but Emily says it's fun for Halloween. Emily's parents then come out of the house, say Emily and Clifford's costumes look great, and after Emily and Clifford playfully howl, they all head to the beach where the movie will be played.

Goofs

• In one scene, parts of T-Bone's costume is yellow.
• When everyone is laughing at the movie, they are actually frowning.
• Victor and Pedro aren't seen when Jetta is walking home.
• Sheriff Lewis mysteriously disappears when everyone hears Clifford's howls thinking it was a ghost.
• When everyone (except Emily Elizabeth) goes to hide from the ghost not knowing it was actually Clifford, Mark, Carolyne and Charley aren't seen. T-Bone also isn't seen for rest of the episode when Jetta and Mac go to hide under a table.

Trivia:

• This is the first time Jetta has a skirt or dress.
• This is the first episode to take place entirely at night.
• This episode marks the first onscreen appearance of T-Bone's owner, Sheriff Lewis. Although he's not officially revealed to be T-Bone's owner until "Doing the Right Thing".
• The only things T-Bone uses in this episode are noises.
• Clifford looking like a ghost when he got covered by the movie screen was most likely an adaptation from the book Clifford's Halloween, though in that book, Clifford wanted to be a ghost, but in this episode, he only accidentally became a ghost.
• This episode has the shortest title in the entire series.
• Although this a Halloween themed episode, T-Bone doesn't show any fear which is very unusual as he is known for acting cowardly when it comes to scary stuff.
